The Astounding Alpha Iota Sigma Alumnae Chapter (AIS) is based out of and is proud to serve the community of Savannah, GA. AIS currently has members of different ages, professional backgrounds, cultural experiences, and years of Sigma service. The dynamic women of AIS are mothers, wives, daughters, and leaders in their chosen professions and the community.

Service is the main thrust of AIS and the chapter is committed to improving the lives of women and children in the Savannah Area. Signature projects of the chapter include the Sigma Youth Symposium, Swim 1922, Project Cradle Care, and preservation of the AIS Chapter Street near Butler Elementary. This chapter continues to uphold the mission of this great organization, which is to enhance the quality of life within the community. Public service, leadership development, and the education of youth are the hallmarks of the organization's programs and activities. Sigma Gamma Rho addresses concerns that impact society educationally, civically, and economically.
